Research Interests

Digital Media Technology

Focusing on the acquisition, retrieval, reproduction and publishing of digital media information, which involves the Visual Detection and Perception of Digital Content, Digital Image Enhancement and Visual Quality Assessment, Automatic Parsing and Generation of Digital Page, Image/Video Retrieval based on Semantic and Content, Text and Image Semantic Extraction and Cognitive Reasoning, and Reproduction and Publishing of Digital Information in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

Projects:

1. 2013-2015, project leader of Research on Imaging Material Visualization and Display Optimization, supported by SINOPEC. My job is data visualization and enhancement.

2. 2011-2013, project leader of Stereo Photo Integrated System and Application, supported by an enterprise. My task was designing and developing software and hardware to realize the requiring, processing, synthesis and output of grating stereo images.

3. 2009-2011, project leader of Monitoring Center Sofrwae Developing, supported by National Development and the Reform Committee. My task was image quality evaluation, image dodging (espiceally for color consistency) and mosaicing.

4. 2012-2014, as a main member of Digital Publishing and Copyright Trading System of Newspaper and Magzine. My task was research on key technology of color management and content management.

5. 2014. Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities (NO. 2042014gf013). My job is Chinese Words Segmentation and Image Retrieval.

Major Research plan of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant No. 91120002/F030602), Audio-visual information cognitive computing: Urban integrated environment for unmanned vehicle platform and key technology research. My job is to detect traffic signs in any light environment.

7. 2013-2015. The National Science and Technology Support Program of China. (No. 2012BAH91F00), Digital Publishing Platform of Cross Media based on Cloud Computing. My task is data retrieval based on knowledge database, automated page generation.

8. 2013-2015. National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) (No. 2013AA12A401), Updated Association and Active Service System for Global Massive Spatial Information. My job is to research on color reproduction for massive photos.

9. 2013-2015. National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) (No. 2013AA12A203), Panoramic Location-based Map Converging and Fusion Technology based on Internet Overlay Protocol. My job is run-time traffic signs detection, which is based on the multi-feature fusion based image retrieval.
