From August 22nd to 23rd, The 12th Asia Lighting Conference was held in Daegu, Korea. Associate Professor Liu Qiang of our department was invited to give an academic report.

This conference is co-sponsored by the China Illuminating Society, the Japanese Illuminating Society, and the Korean Illumination and Electrical Equipment Society, and the Korean Illumination and Electrical Equipment Society is specifically responsible for this.


Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Chiba University of Japan, Kobe University of Japan, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Sejong University of Korea and other experts from the United States, Japan and Korea, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Tongji University Academics from universities, well-known companies such as Panasonic Corporation of Japan, ERCO China and Shanghai Sansi participated in the meeting.


The conference collected a total of 123 papers from various countries. Participants conducted academic exchanges and discussions in the form of conference reports, invited reports, oral reports and academic posters.

Liu Qiang was invited to give an academic report entitled "Assessing colour quality measures for preference prediction: a meta-analysis", introducing his research results on the quantification of light source color quality. In addition, he also chaired the academic activities of the sub-forum of the conference to promote international exchanges in the field of color science and technology research of our department.
