Teachers and Students of School of Printing and Packaging Participate in the 10th Exchange Program at Hong Kong Design Institute

On March 2nd, 14 undergraduates of grade 2011 from School of Printing and Packaging (SPP) went to Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) for a 2-week exchange program. Chen Na, Lecturer of School of Printing and Packaging, took the lead. They were warmly welcomed by the staffs of Hong Kong Printers Association,HKDI and Graphic Arts Association of Hong Kong.

During this period, students systematically took professional practical courses delivered in English and learned necessary skills to develop Apple Apps using Xcode and design e-books with the aid of In Design.

This exchange program kept the students abreast of the latest technology of printing, widened their professional visions, strengthened their practical ability, and provided them with an opportunity of experiencing the education atmosphere in Hong Kong.

It is known that the exchange program between HKDI and SPP has been carried on for ten years since its initiation in 2004. And the program has contributed significantly to the academic communication and talents cultivation in printing field between Wuhan and Hong Kong, enhancing the influence of SPP.
