Prof. Hardeberg of Norwegian University of Science and Technology visited School of Printing and Packaging

On Mar. 26th, Prof. Jon Yngve Hardeberg of Norwegian University of Science and Technology was invited to visit our department and he gave an academic lecture titled “Recent research in color imaging at the Norwegian Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory”. Prof. Wan Xiaoxia, Prof. Zhang Xia and many other teachers of our department discussed with him about scientific research cooperation and exchanges among students.



Prof. Hardeberg made an in-depth introduction to his laboratories, his main field of research and research progress, and the international postgraduate programs of Norwegian University of Science and Technology and he also exchanged ideas with our teachers and students on research topics such as color management, color vision, multi-spectral imaging, color video processing and so on.


Accompanied by Prof. Wan Xiaoxia, Prof. Hardeberg visited the color science laboratory of our department and spoke highly of our research work in the field of color science.


As Europe's top science and engineering university, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, is the Norwegian research center for engineering and industrial technology. The Norwegian Color and Visual Computing Laboratory under the University is regarded as third largest color research center in Europe and it is first-class worldwide in fields such as color science, color imaging and audio processing and so on.


As a professor of color imaging at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Prof. Hardeberg is highly accomplished in the fields of color science, computer science and media technology and he is also a core member and senior expert of International Society of Image Technology, International Optoelectronics Society and European Union Color Council. Up to now, Prof. Hardeberg has taken charge of a large number of international and national research projects, and he has published more than 300 academic research papers.
