The degree authorization station of Light Industry Technology and Engineering (Professional Master’s Degree) was established in 1999 and was among the earliest in this discipline to obtain this right. Main major courses consist of English, Numerical Analysis, Graphic Communication Engineering, Color Vision Analysis, Modern Printing and Packaging Management, Digital Screening, Image Quality Analysis and Evaluation, Printing Quality Control, the Organization and Development of Printing Production Process, Higher Multimedia Technology, Modern Packaging Technology, etc. The main research areas cover the basic theory and technology of the collection, processing, copy (printing), communication of the image and text information. It aims at cultivating senior technical personnel who are familiar with principles of image copy, the basic theory of electronic publishing, printing technology and material, printing quality management and senior management personnel who are capable of doing independent research and being responsible for the work of independent expertise and production management. The station has researched and completed research programs such as “Research on Hi-Fi Color Management of Color Space Information Based on GEOSTAR”, “Development of Adhesives with Energy”. It is now in the leading position in research areas of Image Copy Theory and Printing and Packaging Material in China.
