Color Science & Digitization & Cultural Heritage Digital Protection with High Fidelity
The research mainly aims at cultural heritage digital protection technology, serving the digitization, reproduction and communication of the cultural art relics with high fidelity. In order to establish a perfect working process of cultural heritage digital protection, conservation and communication, the multi-spectral imaging technique, which is the most advanced technology in the field of color science, is used to capture the true color of the art relics objectively. Then the acquired spectral data is processed through the spectral color managing technology. Finally, the processed spectral data of the cultural heritage relics will be digitally stored or be reproduced through different kinds of printing media and digital media terminal which has also been performed through spectral color management previously.
The multi-spectral imaging technology is one of the forefront techniques in the field of color science and imaging. This technology could realize digital collection of the object surface color with high fidelity through construction of large format image acquisition equipment with high spectral resolution and high spatial resolution. The finally acquired color information on the subject surface is no more the traditional RGB data, and is the multidimensional spectral data onto each pixel in the image, which could effectively avoid the influence of capturing environment lighting. Furthermore, the captured spectral image of the cultural heritage relics is not only can be used for digital conservation or reproduction, but also can be used for further spectral analysis to reveal the corresponding correlations between spectral color information and chemical substances, which is very important for the virtual or real repair of the cultural heritage relics.
Study on the Method of LED Intelligent Lighting for Cultural Relics and Artworks
LED lighting has many technical advantages, such as adjustable light, highly efficient with low thermal, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, flexible and durable, and so on. For this reason, there is huge development potential for LED lighting in the field of display lighting of cultural relics and artworks.
The main study object is the method of LED intelligent lighting for cultural relics and artworks. There are two aspects of research and discussion, namely the LED mixed with light illumination method and subjective and objective evaluation of lighting quality. Beginning with analyzing LED mixed light coloring mechanism, the study combines the LED lighting preferences with some subjective and objective factors, such as cultural relics and features of artworks and observers, in order to achieve the construction and optimization of adaptive intelligent light distribution method for cultural relics and artworks’ color features. And in this way it can provide theoretical and methodological support for cultural relics and artworks’ display lighting in the field of Relics and Museology.
