On November 28, the eighth “Challenge Cup” China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Program Competition Final Contest came to an end in Shanghai. Three teams in our school won one gold award and two silver awards. These two silver awards are gained by students from School of Printing and Packaging, forming the gratifying situation that students in our department won the award every year during the past three years.
“Challenge Cup” China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Program Competition adopts a three-level competition system, including school level, province(autonomous region and directly-controlled municipality) level and nation level, known as the “Olympic” of college students' creative business practices. Undertaken by Tongji University, this competition is co-hosted by the Communist Youth League Central Committee, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, the National Association of students, and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. There are a total of 300 works for the final, which are from universities in mainland China and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions. After the fierce competition of business plan review, secret defense and public defense, Wuhan Yousi Education and Technology Company, which was directed by Professor Qian Jun and captained by our student Lu Bowen, and “Wuhan Galaxy Bona Technology Company”, which was directed by Academician Liu Jingnan and joined by our student Zhao Junjie, were eventually crowned the Silver Award.
Wuhan Yousi Education and Technology Company is an education and technology institution with developing the right brain and enhancing memory as main business. Based on the theory of cognitive psychology, it provides thinking and memory training. Wuhan Galaxy Bona Technology Company is a high-tech enterprise which provides services of IHANDLE information platform. Based on social events, its core product is cloud services platform iHandle, and with the help of this platform, it is dedicated to promoting the integration of online and offline flexible social model. These two projects first went through layers of screening in the 6th “Self-Improvement Cup” Collegiate Business Plan Contest in Wuhan University and the 7th “Challenge Cup • Youth in Wo” Collegiate Business Plan Contest in Hubei Province; they then stood out from the rest five projects gaining gold awards in provincial competitions and were chosen to participate in the “Challenge Cup” national contest where they finally won the silver medals.
School of Printing and Packaging has always been implementing the education philosophy of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, encouraging multi-disciplinary communication and the integration of innovation, and cultivating students' innovation sense and creative ability.
