On January 20, Wuhan University held the 2014 technology work annual review was hold. The attendants include Secretary of the CPC—Han Jin, principle Li Xiaohong, vice-principle of Wuhan University Shu Hongbing, Li Jiancheng , the advanced technology scholars and the directors of related departments.

This conference summarizes the technology work of Wuhan University in 2014 and awarded outstanding teams and individuals in science and technology. Prof. Li Houbin of School of Printing and packaging is honored as advanced individual.

Shu Hongbin points out that, the diligent and highly qualified team of our school in the scientific research field has made fruitful achievement. Not only have they promoted the competence in scientific research and the reputation of our university, but also has further inspired and unitied the teaching and administrative staff.

“team has played an crucial role in modern scientific research,” academician Li Deren delivered his speech on behalf of advanced teams, and shared his experience of 30 years in team-building. He pointed out that the leader of a team should be responsible and collaborative, and should be judgematic in targeting at the need of the country and the academic foreland. They also should be persistent even if they are cold-shouldered, and be good at cultivate young scholars and encourage them to devote themselves in to scientific research.

·Professor Yu Dan of School of Life Science was honored as the most beautiful scientific and technical personnel by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC in 2014. His made a summary based on his years of scientific work as devotion to work, diligent in work, and unification with co-workers. scientific and technical personnel have no vocations as every achievement is the result of accumulation of time and energy.

Han Jin expressed his hope that all the scientific and technical personnel could carry forward the spirit of the researchers of "two bombs-one satellite " and further promote the scientific work of our university with steel belief, efficient mechanism, selfless scientific research spirit and industrious and simple style of work.
