The signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreement reached between Wuhan University and Time Publishing and Media Co.,Ltd was held in the meeting hall of Wuhan University on July 7th.

The attendants were Wang Yafei, Lin Qingfa (the chairman and chief editor of Anhui Publishing Group and Time Publishing and Media Co.,Ltd), Ying Weiwei (Standing member of the Party Committee, chief accountant of Wuhan University), Qian Jianguo (director of Party and Government Affairs Office, Wuhan University), Wu Shijing (director of Development Planning and Subject Construction Office) and directors of other functional departments including Undergraduate School, Graduate School, Science and Technology Development Research Institute. Director of School of Printing and Packaging Wan Xiaoxia and other leaders also witnessed the signing ceremony together with students. Lin Qingfa and Ying Weiwei signed on the agreement on behalf of both sides.

On the ceremony, Ying Weiwei explained the education ideology of Wuhan University. He pointed out that Wuhan University not only spare no effort in talent cultivation but also strengthen the strategic cooperation with famous enterprises, and serve social development and local economy, making use of academic, technological and talent resources.

Wan Xiaoxia introduced the background of this cooperation. This agreement would make full use of the resources of both sides to realize strength complementary and win-win cooperation, to put forward further integration of traditional and new media, and to promote the development and prosperity of the cultural industry of China.

Wang Yafei introduced the development history of the company. He noted that at the very time of transformation and upgrading of publishing industry, this cooperation is sure to make enterprises go further and promote the development of digital media in China.

Li Jiancheng put that there are more room for further development of the cooperation between Wuhan University and Anhui Publishing Group. He hoped that this agreement is a new start for further cooperation.

According to the agreement, both sides would make advantage of their strengthened resources with joined effort to build a new media laboratory, solve the key technological problems in the integration of traditional and new media, apply for approval of governmental key project, raise money from the society and the government, play active role in scientific research and talent cultivation, plan different programs based on digital media technology and provide consultant service related with approval of governmental key project.

The evening witnessed the active discussion of Liu Guixia from Time Publishing and Media Co.,Ltd with Wan Xiaoxia from School of Printing and Packaging on the details of the cooperation.
