With the increasing influence in its field, School of Printing and Packaging of Wuhan University has aroused the world attention. In October 2012, an article about the exclusive interview with Professor Wan Xiaoxia, dean of School of Printing and Packaging, was published Hong Kong Printing Issue No.78. This article, titled "Good education promotes the innovation and development of Chinese printing"(http://media.hkprinters.org/HKPM-78/HKPM78-Top2.pdf), was later reprinted in Chinese Graphic Arts Net (http://www.cgan.net/persons/65025.html).

In this interview, Professor Wan Xiaoxia presented her view on printing industry. This article gave an introduction of discipline construction, schooling notions, scientific research, experimental center construction, practice base construction, the overseas exchange program and education of School of Printing and Packaging in the latest 30 years, highlighting its strength and influence.

The cooperation between School of Printing and Packaging and Advanced Printing Technology Center was also introduced in this issue.
