Mr.Pill Green from Gjovik University, Norway gives lectures in School of Printing and Packaging

Mr.Pill Green from Gjovik University was invited to give lectures in School of Printing and Packaging from December 24 to 26 and to carry out academic communication with Prof. Wan Xiaoxia, dean of School of Printing and Packaging.

Prof. Green has made great achivements in fields including digital image processing, color management and color expression. In the afternoon of 25, he delivered a lecture to our students on the topic of new development of ICC color management. And Prof. Yi Yaohua, subdean of School of Printing and Packaging, presided over this lecture. And this initiated the quality development of undergraduates of School of Printing and Packaging.

Prof. Green introduced the development, current research and prospect of color management from the aspect of color measurement, color mapping, color appearance model and the construction of spectral color space. He displayed the latest research program in ICC Labs and introduced the advantages of ICC V5 in defining color and transformation accuracy compared to ICC V4. Additionally, Prof. Green had a discussion on issues including color measurement, color visual expression and color duplication based on spectrum with teachers and students of School of Printing and Packaging.

Recently, the quality development of undergraduates carried out by School of Printing and Packaging is aimed at promoting the professional literacy and overall quality of students of School of Printing and Packaging and consequently reaching their prime. As the first quality development of undergraduates, this lecture helped our students to further know about the latest news and trends in the world in the field of color research and is of great benefit to the cultivation of international and high-level talents of School of Printing and Packaging.
