The China Green Packaging Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance(CGPITISA) was established in Beijing on 5th of June. PPS joined the alliance , signed and released "Green Packaging" proposal jointly.

In order to improve the technology innovation ability of China's packaging industry, promote the green transformation process of China's packaging industry, China Packaging Corporation, China Science and technology industry of promotion, and Cerberus (China) Investment Corp, as 3 core sponsors, united related enterprises, well-known universities and research institutions to jointly initiated the establishment of the alliance.

Xu Guanhua, former Ministry of science and Technology, Hong Shuikun, China Chengtong holding group company president, Yao Jianquan, academician of China Academy of Sciences, and Hou Lian, academician of China Academy of Engineering,attend the inaugural meeting. The innovation system construction office of Science and Technology Department , state bureau of foreign experts, the State Intellectual Property Bureau related leadership was invited to attend the inaugural meeting, too.

The representatives of Tsinghua University, Beijing University and other famous universities, Cai Hua packaging group, Zijiang group and other leading packaging production enterprises, Huawei, Lenovo, Nestle and other well-known packaging business users, Mechanical Science Research Institute, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, China Packaging Research & test center, BV, TUV, SGS and other international leading packaging testing facilities attended the meeting.

Academician Xu Guanhua, the honorary chairman of the alliance, said in his speech express the wish that alliance member units carry out technical cooperation, research closely around the key problems of technology innovation. Construct public technical service platform to promote the innovation of science and technology and the promotion of technology, accelerate the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements of green packaging. Coordinate the relationship between packaging industry development and environmental protection, promote China's packaging industry green transformation process, and promote the sustained and healthy development of circular economy.

Zuo Jun, the Secretary of Chinese Communist Party(CCP) general branch in PPS, and Liu Xinghai, the Deputy Director of Packaging Research Center in PPS, participated in the alliance preparation meeting and the establishment meeting, visited the well-known scholars and senior leaderships of China Packaging Corporation. During the meeting, they talked with leaders of several well-known packaging business and industry associations to discuss about cooperation, in order to promote the development of the packing discipline and personnel training of our department.
