On Oct. 21-22, Meeting of Printing Engineering Group of Advisory Committee of Light Industry Teaching in Higher Education, Ministry of Education, P.R. China (hereinafter abbreviated to Advisory Committee of Light Industry Teaching) was held at Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication. Members of Printing Engineering Group of Advisory Committee of Light Industry Teaching, teachers and students from 17 universities across the country and representatives from the business circles attended the meeting.
Prof. Pu Jialing, Vice President of Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, and Prof. He Youjie, Secretary General of Advisory Committee of Light Industry Teaching, gave a welcome speech. He Youjie introduced the progress of the Ministry of Education's first batch of “new engineering” research and practice projects, and the development of professional certification in the field of light industry, and he conveyed and interpreted the spirit of the “3rd China’s Higher Engineering Education Summit”. Participants discussed the progress of the above two tasks.
The meeting organized the finals of the first “Golden Printing Cup”—National Printing Technology Innovation Competition for College Students. Prof. Wan Xiaoxia of our department introduced the preparations, preliminary examination and approval, preliminary contest of the competition. Prof. He Youjie and Yu Jianghong, General Manager of Beijing Today’s Printing Union International Supply Chain Management Ltd. jointly signed the agreement on sponsorship for “Golden Printing Cup” —National Printing Technology Innovation Competition for College Students.
The finals of “Golden Printing Cup” —National Printing Technology Innovation Competition for College Students were composed of two groups – one for undergraduates and one for training school students. 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 11 third prizes were set in the finals. Four project teams of our department have achieved great success. Among them, “Evaluation and Optimization of Lighting Color Quality of Museum Exhibitions” project directed by teacher Liu Qiang won the first prize, and “WeChat Small Programs—Mobile Learning Platform for Course Color Science” project directed by teacher Zhang Xia, won the second prize; and both “Carbon dots-based Inkjet Printing Rapid Detection Paper” project directed by teacher Zhou Yihua and “Research and Application of Automatic Correction Technology for Mobile Photos Based on Self-calibration” project directed by teacher Zhao Jianjun, won the third prizes.
