A few days ago, Wuhan University announced the winner list of the 4th China College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition at the university-level. The two projects of our department directed respectively by Prof. Qian Jun and Associate Professor Gao Zhiyong were awarded the third prizes of the Start-up Group.

Fu Yucheng, an undergraduate was the leader of one award-winning project of “Paper-based Printed Flexible Interactive STEAM Intelligent Modules” and the team members included students Xie Jingyi, Hu Tianqi, Pu Fanchen, Zhang Zheyuan, Huangfu Zhongyuan, Yu Weiwei and Zhang Changhao. Liao Yu, our graduate student, was the leader of the other award-winning project of “Flexible connection of things— Printable Inductive Film” and the team members included students Zhang Wenshuo, Zhu Haobo, Yang Xiuhan, Huo Haoheng, Fu Yucheng, Zhao Gongzhe and Hu Xiaoran.

The competition aims to deepen the comprehensive reform of higher education, motivate college students to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship, cultivate the new force of “Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, and build a docking platform for university students’ innovation and entrepreneurship projects and social investment.

The educational idea of “Three Creations” has always been practiced in our department. Our department has always been promoting the deep integration of entrepreneurship education and professional education, and cultivating students’ sense of innovation and independent learning ability. In recent years, we have achieved great success in various types of competitions.

It is reported that 37 projects were awarded the prizes at the university-level competition. Among them, 8 projects were awarded the first prizes, 12 projects the second prizes and 17 projects third prizes. The 37 outstanding teams selected by our university will participate in the provincial rematch.
