On Mar. 27th, Sundaram Gunasekaran, a lifetime professor of Department of Food Science and Department of Biosystems Engineering of School of Agriculture and Life Science at University of Wisconsin-Madison, visited our department. Liu Xinghai, our deputy director, as well as other teachers and students had academic exchanges with him.
During the visit, Prof. Sundaram Gunasekaran gave academic reports to our teachers and students. He systematically illustrated his research findings on biosensors and time-temperature indicators from the perspective of food health and safety.
Liu Xinghai's research team presented Prof. Sundaram Gunasekaran with their research findings on freshness indicator and sensing, packaging leak indicator, indicator for time temperature, active antibacterial and intelligent regulation work, self-healing and coating of smart barriers. After the meeting, Prof. Sundaram Gunasekaran visited our department’s research laboratories.
