The master’s degree authorization station of Graphic Communication Engineering was a master major established in 2006 subordinate to the doctoral degree authorization station of Graphic Communication Engineering. It aims at cultivating talents with standard skills in technology and management in these fields such as Principles of Graphic Communication, Digital Media Technology and Visual Color Analysis. It has stable researches in Graphic Communication Theory, Image Half-toning Technology, Digital Asset Management, Color Vision Analysis and Digital Media Technology. The major has successfully completed research projects such as “Color Forecast Based on the Multi-spectral Theory” and “Research on Full-color Remote Sensing Image Color Correction”, and other National Natural Science Foundation research projects or the provincial and ministerial research projects. Now it is in the leading position in China in the area of Theory and Application of Graphic Communication Engineering. Main courses of this major include Digital Screening Theory, Color Vision Analysis, Image Quality Analysis and Evaluation, Modern Printing Management, Printing Quality Control, Higher Multimedia Technology, Graphic Communication Theory, the Organization and Development of Printing Production Process, Software Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, etc.
