The master’s degree authorization station of Light Industry Technology and Engineering was established as a first class discipline master station in 2010. The station has eight stable research directions, i.e. Graphic Reproduction Technology, Graphic Information Processing, Printing Material and Printability, Printing Electronics, Functional Packaging Material, Packaging Structure Design, Transportation Packaging Design and New Packaging Technology. This major was developed on the basis of two secondary disciplines, i.e. Printing Engineering and Packaging Engineering. The major aims at serving the national economy construction, combining researches with the application in the industry, following the latest development of the discipline, researching the new material, new craft, the theory and method of the new technology, promoting the extension and technology innovation of the theoretical system of printing engineering, doing the research in areas like Color Science and Technology, Printing Electronics, Intelligent Packaging Technology, etc.
